MATT STROUBE, CFA®

Matt Stroube, CFA®, brings more than 14 years of investment and corporate finance experience to Financial Independence, LLC. Matt has spent his career helping companies and their leadership teams make disciplined decisions about capital — where to put it, how to structure it, and how to measure whether it’s working.

His background spans the industrial, energy, and infrastructure sectors, where he has evaluated capital-intensive businesses, structured financing solutions, and led the kind of rigorous fundamental analysis that supports long-term value. He has partnered directly with executives and boards on M&A due diligence, capital planning, and performance improvement initiatives.

Matt’s project experience includes leading buy-side M&A diligence on acquisitions totaling more than $580 million in enterprise value, serving as interim VP of Finance for an industrial manufacturer — where he oversaw planning, cash flow, and board reporting — and executing valuation and advisory engagements for clients across the industrial, energy, and infrastructure sectors. His technical strengths include cash-flow modeling, capital-structure optimization, and specialized FP&A advisory solutions, including AI-enabled forecasting.

Matt earned his BBA in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
